Waterford Film Society
Waterford Film For All (WFFA) is a not-for-profit film society whose chief aim is is to broaden the range of films available to cinema goers in Waterford city and its environs. Our new venture involves screening films in Storm Cinemas, Poleberry on Tuesday nights! Our spring season for 2010 will kick off in January and is co-presented with WIT's Centre for Film Studies. All films will be screened at 8.30pm.
The Forum Waterford
The FORUM WATERFORD premises originally opened as 'THE REGAL CINEMA' in 1937 and operated as a 1500 seater cinema up to the 70's, after which Bingo became it's mainstay. Extensively refurbished during the 80's, it was transformed into a 1200 seater modern Concert Hall, which opened as 'THE FORUM' in April 1990. The following decade it played host to top touring acts including: Johnny Cash, The Corrs, David Gray, Van Morrisson, Christy Moore, Billy Connolly, and many more. During the millennium year major renovations again took place to create a multi-purpose venue with 4 separate spaces ranging from 100 to 1000 capacity. Catering to both young and old, the FORUM WATERFORD offers diverse entertainment weekly and since reopening, in October 2000, has been host to the very best of Irish and International Musicians, DJ's, Comedians, Theatrical Productions as well as running Bingo Sessions. FORUM WATERFORD is the premier Live Venue in South-East Ireland and is renowned as one of the leading entertainment venues in the country. It is owned and operated by a private company, Coherent Enterprises Ltd.
Red Kettle Theatre Company
Red Kettle, founded in 1985, is a Waterford based professional theatre company. Its artistic policy is to produce new exciting theatre in Waterford, throughout Ireland and where possible, overseas. Whilst including work from the existing repertoire, the company specialises in commissioning new Irish plays for adults and children.
In addition to productions at home, Red Kettle is recognised as one of the leading touring theatre companies in Ireland.
