  • Deise Greenway

    Enjoy a leisurely walk, run or cycle from Waterford to Dungarvan on the now completely rejuvinated disused railway line. The much anticipated 45km Deise Greenway will be officially opened soon in Waterford, in the meantime thousands of people are already enjoying the beautiful scenery on the many finished stages.  While on this greenway visitors can enjoy the beautiful country scenery, relax at many of the picnic spots or simply unwind.

    The Sean Kelly Tour of Waterford

    The Kelly Spin is a family event which takes place in August and open to all - cyclists under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

    This event takes place in Dungarvan, largely on the scenic cycle track taking in Abbeyside, Clonea and the Gold Coast (Routes)

  • Cycling Tours

    Waterford Cycling Tours is based in the heart of Waterford City (Ireland’s Oldest City) and offers daily tours of Waterford City, lasting approximately two hours. We cater for individuals, families, students and small groups (bicycles, helmets and other accessories are all provided and all our tours are covered by insurance). Our City Tours include the People’s Park Waterford, The City Quays, Bilberry Rock, Ballybricken and the historic Viking Triangle, Museums and Waterford Crystal.

    Longer Tours take in the coastline of the Sunny South East around the areas of Dunmore East, Tramore, Passage East and the Hook Lighthouse in County Wexford.  We also offer an option for customised cycling tours to suit your requirements and personalise your route. We can also provide a guided cycling tour to cycling clubs and visitors with their own bicycles and equipment.

  • Copper Coast Drive and Geo Park

    The Copper Coast is a stretch of the southern coast of Ireland in County Waterford, extending for some 17 km from Kilfarrasy in the east to Stradbally in the west. It is named for the historic metal-mining industry, the legacies of which now constitute a tourist attraction. The area was declared a European Geopark in 2001 and a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2004. This geologically diverse area contains records of Palaeozoic volcanism and the last ice age - a heritage which is interpreted locally for the visitor. The geopark trust maintains a visitor centre at Monksland Church in Knockmahon

    People's Park in the City Centre has fully fitted childrens playgrounds, seperated into sections for younger and older children. Also a wonderful safe environment to go for a lovely walk with the whole family. 

    Waterford Nature Park is located just outside the City Centre, this 150 approx acre site is an oasis in the midst of busy city life. including a 2km walkway and a mix of paths on tarmacadam and paths mown through meadow, this park is an ideal place to unwind and spend a day with nature. 

    Tramore All Aboard Inclusion Playpark has wonderful facilities which enable children with disabilities to enjoy all the park has to offer.
