our stay was wonderful! The room was excellant, also the food. Everything was very good. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Professional and friendly staff.......from Shane in the pub to Yvonne and Mary at breakfast. Exceptional value as well, I will definately be back!
Enjoyed staying here! Breakfast was satisfying early in the am. Reception was promot and courtious! Extra handy location to main sites and events! Would come again if in the area.
Very nice stay staff were excellent thank you
Beautiful Hotel, had an air of grandeur without being stuffy. All staff were very friendly. Didn't eat dinner in the hotel but had the most amazing breakfast ever! Would definitely stay again next time in Waterford. One tiny niggle was that we had to have a room with disabled facilities as I am confined to a wheelchair. We were given room 111, a family room. Though the room was spacious enough I couldn't actually get up between the beds to transfer myself, I had to access the bed from the foot of it.
Superbe front desk service
Lovely, refined environment, bar area and food was outstanding and room was charming. The location is perfect and we would definitely stay again if returning to Waterford!
Wonderful accommodations very clean and beautiful décor. Staff was very very helpful. We were there 2 nights and wished for more. We enjoyed the city.
Staff very kind and efficient. I ll come back.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Immaculately clean and well looked after hotel with a real old style charm. The staff were lovely and we had a really enjoyable stay.
During a cross country tour of Ireland, the Granville Hotel was our favorite accommodation of the trip! A historic property, top service from the staff, and attention to detail in the building itself, combined with a convenient location to many attractions and restaurants made the stay perfect. Onsite restaurants were fabulous as well and our room was spacious, comfortable, and full of helpful amenities.
Absolute fantastic hotel with friendly and professional staff. The menu provided for all tastes and was both delicious and plentiful, we would definitlely return if in the area again
We loved the hotel service was brilliant and Ana on reception was so helpful. We found the smell of food throughout the hotel a bit over powering and also the rooms to the front are very noise as in from the street traffic some sound proofing wouldn't got a miss.
Our stay was excellent and I will recommend the hotel to anyone planning to stay in Waterford!

We were very happy with our stay at the Granville Hotel. The building is beautiful, grand and well kept and in a prominent postion. Our room was clean and good sized. We found all the staff to be very friendly, helpful and professional, especially after a long day of travel, they booked us in quickly and efficiently. We had our evening meal and breakfast in the hotel and found both to be delicious. Special thanks to the breakfast staff who were bright and bubbly even early in the morning. I saw them handle a tricky situation with a group of other guests very graciously and kindly. We would definitely stay there whenever we return to Waterford.

What a wonderfull place to stay. Good atmosphere and very kindly staff.
A very pleasant stay - an amazing breakfast. Porridge with Irish Whisky is a great way to start the day!
Excellent. Very nice bar area-relaxing! Great location
Stayed about same time last year too, and in both cases the weather was very hot and humid. The room fans help a bit but you should consider providing small fridges or mini bars in all rooms. Enjoyed the stay, the new road/trees, will enhance the look of the riverside - thanks
Great staff - helpful and cheerful
I very much enjoyed our stay. Your location is great for seeing the sights and it is very easy to find. The staff was extremely helpful. The food was well prepared and we enjoyed the breakfast. My great-grandfather fought alongside the Irish Brigade in our Civil War, and the history connection with the general's home was interesting. Great hotel and we will definitely say again.
We only spent one night....wish it could have been longer! Hotel is absolutely beautiful with old world charm blended perfectly with all the modern amenities. The breakfast was fantastic, both food and service!
Magnificent old hotel. Rooms were very spacious and well decorated. We enjoyed our drink at the bar. Enjoyed our dinner and the musical entertainment. We stayed after we finished our dinner to listen to the musical entertainment, very enjoyable! I have to say that the breakfast the next morning was the best we had on our five days in Ireland. The fresh baked goods were exceptional. I never thought of putting a bit of Bailey's Irish Cream on my oatmeal but the staff at the Granville did! If I am ever in Waterford again, I will be back as will the rest of our party!
The location was perfect, the staff were very friendly and the food was great.
I cannot fault it. Thank you
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Granville Hotel in Waterford. It was beautifully decorated throughout and our room was clean and in good order. A good central location for a visit to Waterford Crystal.
This is a lovely hotel. It is very clean and comfortable. We loved the breakfast: probably one of the best we had, and the bar area was quite comfortable. The only draw back was no air conditioning and the room was warm. The other problem was lack of wifi in our room above the office
Beautiful, grand old hotel in a great location. The staff is excellent !
wonderful help \ service from Richard Hurley
Enjoyed our short (2 nights) stay. Excellent room, great atmosphere and VERY friendly staff.
Very welcoming hotel, I recommend it !
We found our stay very comfortable, staff always kind, and the breakfast a feast. We would gladly recommend to any one thinking of staying in Waterford to try the Granville Hotel. PS try the homemade bread and jam and marmalade.
We found this to be a very interesting and historic hotel that has been carefully upgraded/restored. We loved staying there and our room, though not large was beautiful and very comfortable with its waterfront view. The location was very convenient for easy walking to the main Waterford points of interest and restaurants.
My wife and I were very pleased indeed that we booked the Granville Hotel for our short stay in Ireland. From day one when we arrived the service provided by the hotel, in all aspects, was first class. The breakfasts were excellent and plentiful, the one evening meal we had very good indeed, and the service provided by the hotel staff excellent. Our other evening meals taken in the bar were very good, and very reasonably priced. All in all, we were very pleased with what the Granville had to offer, and we would recommend it to other travellers without hesitation. Martin Smith, Llandeilo,Wales.
Lovely atmosphere, excellent service in dining room at breakfast, meals wonderfully prepared and delicious. Would love to return!!
Hi there, can you let me know anywhere that my review comments might be displayed? Thanks!
Beautiful hotel at a great price! Amazing breakfast. Within walking distance to Waterford Factory. Would stay here again and would recommend to others.l
Beautiful hotel and bar, very comfortable size room, great customer service. Be sure if you have mobility concerns you advise the front desk when booking as some rooms require steps to reach even though elevator appears to take you to the correct floor.
Beautiful hotel and well-kept property. Room was very comfortable. Very good breakfast in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for nice accommodations at a good value price.
We stayed here for two nights in May just before the heavy tourist season. This is an older hotel, with features from the 40's, 50's, etc. Friendly staff and a large pub right off the main lobby with reasonably- priced food. There are some things to consider, at least for older Americans accustomed to more modern accommodations: 1.) There is only one small lift to the upper floors. It will accommodate two persons with their luggage. It could be a real hassle if you arrive at the same time as a tour bus. 2.) Once you are at your floor, there are liable to be short flights of stairs to haul luggage up and down to get to your room. Might have been quaint in the 50's, but difficult for older folks. 3.) The place could use a good cleaning. Dust has accumulated on things like lamps, the tissue dispenser in the lav, the picture frames and headboard. Looks like the room had not had a thorough cleaning in perhaps two to three years. 4.) Car parking is free (as advertised), but only from 5:00pm through 9:00am the next morning. Basically overnight parking in the commercial lot across the street. If you arrive early, or want to walk around town during the day, it's a Euro an hour for the 8 hours not covered by the hotel. The hotel does not have its own parking lot. These are just things to consider. Aside from the cleaning issue, we found The Granville to be a nice place at a reasonable price. Their breakfast, included with the room, was great! Everything you could possibly want. The eggs Benedict were superb. The assortment of fruits, breads, etc. was excellent. It's about a 10 minute walk to the city centre, and the tourist attractions. Room Tip: Get a room with a king bed for an extra €10. It's much larger.
The Granville was as usual up to its high standard. I think we have stayed about 6 or 7 times now and intend to keep coming back! Accommodation, Food, Staff - all excellent.
A beautiful hotel with great customer service and centrally located. We enjoyed our stay a lot and had a really nice room .
Honestly the best hotel experience I've ever had. Mainly down to the staff. Every single staff member was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Well done. Room was also large, food was great and location of hotel was very convenient. The only issue I had was that the room was above the bar and smoking area so it was a bit noisy at times.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The only negative comment I would make is that the room service charge of €6 per person is too expensive and deterred us from getting room service on the evening we arrived.
Great staff and hospitality. I wish I had realised there were no smoking rooms available as my bathroom particularly smelt of smoke otherwise no problems and would recommend to anyone.
The hotel is a beautiful property, very well situated and the service throughout was first class. Special mention must go to your reception staff and the restaurant team who served us at breakfast and dinner. The food was excellent as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and actually extended it by an extra night because of how well we were looked after. Thanks to all. We would love to come back one day and have no hesitation recommending your hotel to our friends and relatives.
parking very awkward compared to out of town hotel options
Excellent overnight stay- great room and friendly staff
The hotel is well located to explore Waterford. We had a large comfortable room that overlooked the water. The breakfast room was wonderful and the staff there very friendly. The hotel has a huge pub as well.
