The Granville is a beautiful olde worlde hotel with wonderful service values. Décor in the public rooms is a lovely mix of high Victorian and Art nouveau to a very high standard of finish and it's all brought right up to date with cappuccino and wifi. My room was very comfortable and furnished as required of a modern hotel room. If I were to nit-pic though, I would mention thin walls and a shower curtain rather than a screen. Overall I will stay there again when I visit Waterford.

I really enjoyed my stay especially breakfast and the waiter was terrific. He should be given credit for it. The food was lovely but there were some hairs in the bathroom so maybe an extra clean would be ideal

Wonderful care from everyone from the moment of check in until departure.

Efficient staff, food great, room comfortable, bar/lounge very busy & noisy, a need for quiet area for residents to relax. Maeve Corcoran

We had an excellent break at this hotel and would recommend it highly. Definitely will be back. Food was fantastic and the staff were exceptional.

your staff was very helpful. They provided excellent service. I enjoyed my stay and will recommend the hotel to my friends

Excellent service and a great stay. Good food, great location and will definitely book again.

All Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The King Size bed was very comfortable.

My Wife and I have being staying in this Hotel and others, in Waterford since 1974.But the Grandville is one step ahead of the rest, only problem I have is it's very hard to book a date during high session. The Staff are Outstanding, most have been there forever.Which say's a lot for Management.

Excellent stay. Staff superb. Will definitely be back.

From check in to departure the staff could have not been any more courteous or helpful. The room was excellent and the bar was lively and again with great bar staff. The breakfeast was a threat with great selection and choice.

My wife & i stayed in the Granville in early January and i posted a review on trip advisor. We were equally very satisfied with our stay this week. Excellent friendly staff, great food, room was lovely, absolutely no complaints. we will definitely stay again

Friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms.

Very pleasantly surprised by the overall experience of staying at the Granville Hotel. I was staying for 1 night as part of a cross country business trip. Check in was quick and easy at 5:30pm. I enjoyed a delicious home cooked meal in the bar which was relatively busy with a nice atmosphere. The staff are all extremely helpful and welcoming- some of the nicest hotel staff I have ever met, which was particularly appreciated after a long day on the road. Rooms are well appointed and cosy, with comfy furnishings and nespresso coffee machines. Wifi is fine for emails and web use, although I didn't try streaming any video content. Parking is easy just across the street and the hotel even validate your ticket for overnight guests. I will definitely be back!!

Could not fault this hotel. Enjoyable stay in a very comfortable hotel. Everything from staff to facilities are a1.

We stayed just the one night spur of the moment booking Room was lovely, clean and comfortable, staff very friendly Would stay again Regards Brian Fenelon

A warm and comfortable room overlooking the river and moored boats. An enjoyable meal, fine and varied breakfast, welcoming waitress and an informative and friendly receptionist. Perfect! Cliff W.

Great staff. Good food. Beautiful rooms and building. Will definitely stay again.

A comfortable stay, excellent breakfast.

First impressions were brilliant, the hotel had been decorated for Christmas and made a very pleasant atmosphere. Reception staff, bar staff and breakfast staff were friendly and informative in all aspects of hotel and Waterford city, and made our stay very warm and welcoming. Our room was bright clean and warm, we just wished we had of stayed for longer. We will be back very soon, well done to all at The Granville. 10/10

We had a lovely time in Waterford. The staff were very helpful and the food was lovely

Staff extremely polite, room superb, Food excellent.which made for a great Stay

I have been staying at the Granville regularly over many years. On this recent visit I was impressed at how well the hotel is looking. Obviously money has been spent in refurbishing all areas and the result is to be seen everywhere. Keep up these high standards!

Checked in on the 4th Dec 2016, efficient checking at reception, excellent room overlooking the river, great breakfast selection following morning overall a very positive experience.

very pleasant, good food and service.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful hotel and the room was exactly as pictured. We will definitely be returning to the Granville in the future

Lovely hotel, great food, will be back

Was pleasantly surprised by quality of room and service for the price. We enjoyed our stay . Breakfasts were well prepared and presented.

As usual I enjoyed my stay in the Granville, having stayed here on & off since 2001 I can say that the quality / service is as good as ever. I will always stay at the Granville in any return visit.

Great location, excellent friendly staff in restaurants and especially reception.

We were impressed with this hotel. It is charming and has a lot of character that contrasts starkly to many of the cloned hotels that we have in many of our towns and cities today. The history associated with the building is fascinating, and the staff were most pleasant, helpful and even witty. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed a goods nights sleep. Finally, breakfast in particular was an experience - try the porridge with a dash of Irish whiskey (the Muldoon was the favourite).

Staff was welcoming and pleasant, accommodations were clean and comfortable, location convenient and breakfast bountiful and delicious! We definitely recommend.

the quality of the hotel, spotless and maintained to the highest standard. Wonderful staff, professional service at its best with the Bianconi restaurant staff a highlight of our stay. situated in the best part of Waterford with easy parking, ask at the front desk they will help you in every way. only use my first name in the comment thank you

Elegant, well appointed hotel convenient to sites and transportation. Lovely dinner and great breakfast with excellent food and service. Fine value for the money, highly recommend.

Service at breakfast was excellent, location was great. Only negative was my room was smaller than expected but not bad for price

The Granville is a delightfully traditional hotel, but there is nothing wrong with that, especially when it is run as well as it is. The staff are plentiful, super-efficient and friendly - they went out of their way to make our two night stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as they could. If you like staying in 'boutique' or 'hip' then this is not the place for you but, if you appreciate old-fashioned service and hospitality, then I couldn't recommend this more highly.

Great staff, lovely hotel. Couldn't do enough for you during your stay. Highly recommend!

Our stay was very enjoyable and our rooms were very good.Breakfast excellent but our meal in the bar on 2 nights was very disappointing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you

This is our 7th time here in the past 18 months & every time we come it is just like "coming home" fabulous hotel, facilities, & staff all extremely pleasant, helpful, true Irish hospitality @ its very best, the food is amazing whatever you order it shall be excellent in either the restaurant or bar, There is an absolute treasure within the staff I believe her name is Anne, this lady exudes Irish hospitality, charm, whilst encouraging you to take the porridge with a "little Irish tipple", she is an absolute treasure a true credit to the historic Granville.. never let that lady leave... Congratulations to the Cusacks & all @ the Granville you certainly have got it spot on! see you again very soon without doubt. 10/10

Nice hotel, would stay there again. Would recommend it if you like old fashioned designs.

A real gem everything from the staff to the food to the accomadation was first class. A very memorable sta,y all for the right reasons.

The Granville is a beautiful, elegant, well located hotel and the meals were superb, especially breakfast. Our room was too warm for our liking and a little noisy with the window open (of necessity) but the bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom well sized and luxurious.

Terrific Location, wonderful and helpful staff! Rooms were very nice, and breakfasts in the restaurant were a treat!

Great location, great room, great staff. We went out for a meal on Sat night and came back to the hotel for a few drinks but there was no where to have a drink as all tables were taken up with people eating food! We went to Doolys hotel lounge for a few drinks instead. But overall a very pleasant stay.

The Granville Hotel is a wonderful hotel property with excellent charm. The location for the Granville is outstanding, being centrally located downtown in Waterford. The service by the hotel staff was exceptional.

Enjoyed the hotel and the food. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was after we paid for an upgrade that faced the waterfront (street) we were unable to get to sleep until after midnight because of the traffic noise. Seemed like a waste of money to pay for an upgraded room and then not be able to sleep because of the road noise.

This was my first stay at the Granville- a proper Irish hotel! The staff friendly and polite at all times- great food choices, cooked and presented with care. A larger telly would be much appreciated and the stiff bath taps could do with a shot of WD40! Hope to return-Thank-you
